… like the whole world has been made again“… as Steve Hogarth of Marillion used to sing a few years ago.

My life’s changed a lot lately. Being back in Holland has had its consequences. As you might have read in an earlier post, I went back to England to see my then girlfriend. Unfortunately however, she decided, almost immediately upon my arrival that things between us couldn’t work out anymore… Mainly because she was not used to me being around anymore. Okay, that kinda sucked… BUT I still enjoyed myself quite a bit over the eight days of my stay, even if it was mostly in the company of other people than the person I came to visit. I saw my Spanish friends once more for a couple of days, drank a few pints of Calimocho (me gusta!) and had some nice meals together with them. Met a few new people, chilled with familiar faces once more… So it wasn’t a complete waste of time (and money).

It’s 9.34am. Eating breakfast. Have to arrive at Schiphol at 1.30pm max. Coffee’s hot. Outside is snow. Snow is cold. Ozzy Osbourne playing in the background. All unfair.

Feel excited. Hope all goes down well. Have my passport. Have my iPod. Have my PSP. Have my camera. Have my mobile phone. Have my simcard. Have my gifts. Have my clothes. Have my jacket. Have my bag. Have my suitcase. Have my money. Have my bank card. Have my public transportations card. Have my sense of humour. Have a good mood.

Have a good day! See you all in Birmingham!

… until I see my darling in Birmingham again.

… And am proper excited!

Okay, we planned this out about a month ago or something, but tomorrow I’m flying back to Birmingham to visit my girlfriend and a few (Spanish and English) friends. Just for a bit longer than a week, but it’s really nice to see them again, especially with school placement coming up immediately after this break.

Hey world!

I’ve been back in The Netherlands for exactly a month and five days. Things have been back to the way they were before I left for England, and it was quite surprising how little time it needed to adapt to the known surroundings!

Okay, I still feel a strong sense of needing some personal space, because I was really used to living life at a pace that was my own, but apart from that everything’s perfectly fine. I’m already watching TV-series like “Las Vegas” or “House, M.D.” with my mum and sister again while my dad’s at work, so some good things never change haha.

Hello everyone,

I’veĀ  been home for more than a week by now. Luckily *ahem* I have been ill for the whole time. Probably, most likely, I caught a cold during my last day in England when we went to that ‘lovely’ city of Stratford-upon-Avon. Oh well, at least now I only have a cough left and the cold, dizziness and headaches have gone!

Cellebrated Christmas at home with the family, but with me having the flu, it was not really anything special. Christmas dinner was tasteless and I could hardly eat anything. (This had nothing to do with the cooking skills of my mum, those were excellent as always!!) Got a few really nice presents and luckily everyone here liked my presents as well.

Today it’s the 31st of December 2007, so that means that it’s almost New Year. I wish everyone the best of luck in 2007, with whatever they need it! I booked my flight back to Birmingham this morning, so I’ll be coming back in February for a few days. Really looking forward to it!

Oh well, to all a happy, happy, happy new year!
