Back again, eh?

Almost a month ahs passed since my last post here. I’m seriously wondering if anyone actually still reads this blog… Probably not, it’s probably just me practicing my English haha.

Anyway, week 6 of school placement’s almost at an end. Only one day this week and the weekend’s arrived! And I’m looking forward to the weekend, cause it’s the weekend of my birthday! It’s my birthday on the 24th, which means I’m having a day off, cause it’s Easter Monday haha. Just pray that I don’t get a lot of theme gifts like bunny suits or whatever haha. I’ll be celebrating my 21st b’day this Sunday evening and I think it’ll be good. My girlfriend’s coming over for a few days and my friends will all be dropping by for some cake and a drink .

Ah well.. Life.. what’s there to tell? Last weekend my girlfriend came to visit me again (she lives on almost the exact opposite of the country haha) and we went to a bar in town on Friday evening where we drank a few drinks with my friends, ’twas good, they all can get along pretty well! That’s a good thing, really good. The day after we went to a mutual friend who invited the two of us for dinner and to go out with her and her boyfriend, so there we were, the four of us, in a bar in Nijmegen. Good fun as always. We went back home on Sunday afternoon and that evening my girlfriend went home again.

I turned to be ill the day afterwards, no unintentional! I went to placement but had to back out after an hour because I felt really ill with the flu. Stayed in bed for two days, tried to go to school on Wednesday and today, Thursday, I’m feeling well enough to do a day’s work at placement. Even though I’m quite bored today, I had 2 lessons (1 observation, 1 that I actually taught!) and 5 lessons during which I had absolutely nothing to do. Plus my school placement partner is ill now, so I’m here on my own and I am trying to use my time in the most useful a way as possible.

The most useful a way as possible in this scenario means: typing some handwritten ‘reports’, writing a couple of reviews on music CDs, listening to LOTS of music on my iPod (Tool, Ulver, Incubus, Machine Head…), getting a bit of a headache, accepting work that pupils have to hand in.. oh and writing this on my blog… So not really anything interesting actually…

I’d much rather be asleep (next to my girlfriend or alone, cause I’m simply tired) than sitting here in front of a computer screen looking extremely bored…

*yawns* until some other time, then?
